This guy to the right has to be the nicest person in the world. Prior to the arrival of the man to the right, the homeless man to the left was openly sleeping on that platform in union square in San Francisco. I sat on the corner of the platform in order to take some secretive shots for my photo class and then I here, “Good thing I found you.” I refused to turn around and see what was happening in order to give those two their privacy. I didn’t need my eyes to notice that the homeless man was elated to see him. You could tell by just the tone of his voice that he was the happiest man alive. The two immediately catch up where they left off as the man to the right was taking out all of the nonperishable food in his backpack. Just before the man left, they both share a Samoa girl scout cookie. Once they finished, the man told the homeless man that he has to go to see another homeless man. Seeing this really hit a soft spot in me because in the midst of this harsh world, there are people out there with genuinely good intentions and ask for nothing in return.

We need more people like this in the world.
